No. 1 Nadal likes view from the top
"Winning three grand slams, (winning) the U.S. Open, is always going to be a goal and I'm going to play as good as I can when I am there,'' Nadal said Friday, after he helped choose the draw for the Rogers Cup. ``But (it is) the same thing with Toronto. For now, the important thing is here.''
"He's the goal,'' Nadal said of Federer, who won the Rogers Cup in 2004 and 2006. ``I can only play against Roger in the final. But I never want to think about Roger. Because before the final remains a lot of work, a lot of matches for me. "I don't think about my body," Nadal said. "I think about the tennis."
"I think I'm a better player, or a more complete player, right now than in 2005," Nadal said. "The thing is always the same: play well or play bad. If you play well, you can have a chance for good results."
He also said his knees, which had once seemed to threaten his ascent, are under control. Nadal proclaimed himself "in perfect condition."
"What I wish for, myself?" he asked, repeating the question. "Nothing more. I am more than happy at what happened to me this year. To have a season like I've had is more than a dream."

Nadal-Federer final possible at Rogers Cup
Nadal and Federer, with 24 Grand Slam singles titles between them, could meet in the final in Toronto as they were slotted into opposite sides of the draw.
Nadal is the top seed, with Federer third behind Djokovic. Nadal and Federer have met just once in 2010, a clay court victory in Madrid for Nadal
The top half of the draw features Nadal, Roddick, Murray, last week's tour winner Sam Querrey, and the two most recent Grand Slam runner-ups, Robin Soderling of Sweden and Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.
Nadal, dogged last year by knee injuries, is feeling fit enough that he has accepted Djokovic's offer to pair together in the doubles draw.
