Almagro about Nadal: "Let put it the same tomorrow!"
The Spanish Nicolas Almagro has lost six times against his compatriot Rafael Nadal, but his confidence has been strengthened by both his game and mindset change of today, after beating Fernando Verdasco and he said that hopefully will put the game against the Manacor "tomorrow".
"Let put it the same tomorrow," said with his usual sense of humor the Murcian player, who believes that is much difference compared to 2008 when he was thrashed by Nadal in Paris.
"I've improved my physical and my mentality. It will be very difficult, however, because Rafa is a bit above the rest, but hopefully I can put him in trouble," said Almagro, who recalled that at Madrid Masters 1000 this year was able to take a set.
"I served very well in Madrid, but with Rafa is a battle for every point," he added. "I know how to attac, I did in Madrid but here are five sets and it will be twice as long," reasoned Almagro, who will face the match without complex.
"If he was indestructible, I would take the next plane and go home. Every match is a mental battle, and six times he was over me," he said.
"It's a very difficult match, and unfortunately or fortunately, the draw has gave me to face in the quarterfinal the best clay court player in history, and now I have the chance to defeat him. If not, I'll go out with the head held high "he said.
