"Yes it was an important week for me. It has been an emotional week winning on grass after five years without a title on the surface. It is good news that I am playing well again on grass and my knees are healthy and I am playing better tennis the last couple of months and it confirms it. I am happy to be back with a trophy in my hands and that is confidence and positive energy and motivation to keep going. I don't talk about Wimbledon now because I am in Stuttgart and it is an important title for me and I am flying to Queens tonight to try to be ready for another good week at Queens but I say it is very important victory for me today in Stuttgart.
"On grass it is true you can win matches without playing your best if your serve is consistent and very good and I think during the whole week I served well but especially today I served well at important moments and that gave me the advantage on the point and I had some good points in the tiebreak which gave me the first set and I converted the break chance in the second and still was consistent with my serve so it is very important to serve well on all the surfaces but on grass even more.
"The most special moment of the week is when you win the title. It has been a very positive week having two coaches, both Toni and Francis with me and it was good team work and that is something that I like. I enjoyed the fact they are together here and I enjoyed practising and playing and I had some tough moments that I was able to be successful after the tough moments on the first and second day so that builds confidence and is good news. When you are in tiebreaks or tricky moments and are able to win it, it is because you are with more confidence and feel better on court and that's what was happening today so try to keep going and it is a very positive week for me.
"No I played five finals at Wimbledon in the past being healthy. Today I am with the right motivation and I practised on grass so I will try my best to do well at Queens and have a good week of practice before Wimbledon and hope to be ready for it. On grass everything is tough and every match is dangerous. I will try my best.
"In general it has been a positive victory. I did the things I had to do at the right moments. I don't know if I needed more, but if I needed more I will put more and we never know. It is true that in the moments I needed to play a bit better I did and that is a very good thing for my confidence."
"My level has always been there, I've not forgotten how to play tennis. But now things are coming together for me."
"I'm not bothered by the expectations of others, I'm only motivated by my own goals, There is no pressure on me"
"It's fantastic to win here on grass after winning on clay. Victor is a tough opponent"
"But I've been gaining confidence over the past month and a half after a very poor first three and a half months of this season"
"I've been feeling my game better since after my first match in Monte Carlo (mid-April). It was mentally tiring for me to play tennis in the first part of the year. I was not feeling comfortable on court"
"I was not able to play the way that I wanted. I didn't feel confidence. But that has been changing and my focus now if to prepare as best as I can for Wimbledon."
