Rafael Nadal named new brand ambassador of Banc Sabadell

Spain’s World No. 1 Rafael Nadal will be the new ambassador of the brand Banc Sabadell after signing a long-term agreement with the title sponsor of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell on April 2 in Madrid.
Nadal will the fourth professional athlete to be linked to the Banc Sabadell brand, although the relationship in this case will be broader and deeper, extending beyond his current sports career. Nadal will be the figurehead of Banc Sabadell in its principal commercial and corporate activities.

Rafael Nadal expressed his satisfaction with the agreement: "I am delighted with this new project and the prospect of working with Banc Sabadell. Apart from the fact that it is a prestigious Spanish international bank, I fully identify with its values and with its constant support of sport, and specifically tennis, through sponsorship of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell - Trofeo Conde de Godó. I am also grateful to Banc Sabadell for agreeing to work with me beyond my professional career. I trust that I can live up to their confidence in me."
Before Rafael Nadal, other sportspeople who have been linked to the Banc Sabadell brand are Leo Messi, FC Barcelona striker and member of the Argentina national soccer team; Gemma Mengual, Olympic medallist in synchronized swimming; and Pep Guardiola, currently coach of FC Bayern Munich.
Other sportspeople, such as footballers Carles Puyol and Cesc Fábregas, former footballers Luis Figo and Luis Enrique, and Paralympic swimmer Teresa Perales, have worked with Banc Sabadell on occasion in the past.
