Rome: Number 6 for Rafael Nadal

5/21/2012Rafaholics

World Number 2, Rafael Nadal defeated Novak Djokovic today in straight sets 7-5 6-3, after winning the Internazionali BNL d’Italia title for the sixth time on Monday in Rome. The final was delayed from yesterday & the traditional Sunday finals due to rain, poor weather and the court deemed not safe to plan on.

With this win Rafael Nadal is the only ATP player to have won 4 different tournaments Barcelona, MonteCarlo, RolandGarros, & Rome 6 times! He also  is the only player with #21 1000 Master Shield titles, all that without even losing a set! What I also find peculiar is now Rafa is the favorite going into the French Open? The undisputed?  For god sakes man what does he have to do? It is kinda ridiculous to me that even though Novak Djokovic is NOT at the level he was last year. He was still the favorite? Rafa is without a doubt the best player ever to play on clay.  But I am confident Rafa will go to Paris with the advantage against all players. Beating Novak Djokovic twice in a row proves that Rafa Nadal is yet to break even more records!

Vamos Rafa!
