The jury of the Cornelius Atticus has decided to distinguish for the first time young athletes today agreed to grant a special award to Rafael Nadal and the Moto GP rider Jorge Lorenzo, in consideration of the achievements made by both sports this y...ear.

Although the award is a tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to the practice and promotion of sport shooting the least 25 years, the jury consisting of representatives of institutions and media of the Balearic Islands, and chaired by the Minister for Chair, Albert Moragues, has decided to grant it special so these two young athletes.

The award honors the great season the world number one ranking in the ATP tennis, Rafael Nadal, who this year won the U.S. Open, Wimbledon and Roland Garros, among other tournaments, as well as that of Jorge Lorenzo, who proclaimed world champion moto GP.

In previous editions, the "Cornelius Atticus' has been awarded to Joan Ordinas sports promoter, Margalida Ferrer's basketball, the sport fisherman and sports promoter Rafael Muntaner, or the president of the Balearic Federation archery Victor Juan Roig.
