1st Set - 6-4

Positive :

Good Serving overall and good serving at key moments like 30-30 in couple of situation
Serve to the out wide when serving from deuce court is a killer. (He is doing this more and more , got a 126mph today)
Good return overall, whatever he returned mostly they were long. Even while playing he played long.

Negative:

Too many Unforced errors from forehand side (total 13 in set 1)
First serve % less than 60.


2nd Set - 6-4 (Generous help from Simon at break point)

Positive :

Clean serving.Ace numbers increases. More 40-0 and 40-15 games. (His knees are thanking him a lot)
Aggresive play on his serve and forehand.(No safety first attitude..)
Standard of Nadals game has risen a lot at this stage (so has Simon's game except for the generosity he showed at break point)

Negative:

Backhand slice shot is weak. (It will be taken to task by flat ball hitters)
First serve % again less than 60.


3rd Set - 6-2

Positive :

Excellent serving continues. (Though less ace but highly effective..)
Overall he attacked net whenever he got a opportunity.
Returned long and played long through out the match.
Forehand down the line throughout the match were killers.

Negative:

Overall backhand shots were really good esp crosscourt ones are lot flatter..but backhand slice shot is still weak.
Match Overall serve % - 57% and UE - 32

Overall I felt Istomin, Gavasville match were much tougher than Simon. Simon was inconsistent. Glad Rafa is done in 3 sets and done in 2hrs..
