'The public has always respected me and surely it will be same again Murray'
Without too much understanding on the issue, would it be more favorable for you against the big servers to stand closer to the BS, rather than so far behind? They serve so strongly that if you can reduce it. The ball is almost always dead after the bounce. Would not it be better to take a direct risk?(Francisco Fernández)
In principle yes, but the difficult thing is to reduce them so therefore we have tendency to go backwards to have more time and to see the serve. Is not as easy as it seems. The risk has it moments, believe me.
Great Rafa, against Soderling! Congratulations! Why do you think the reason of Federer's defeat? Mental fatigue? He already seen in a lot of Grand Slam semifinals in a row and sometimes it had to happen ... but at Wimbledon! Encouragements and now have a clear path. (Fede)
I think it is very difficult to do what Roger has done, many consecutive semifinals. It is normal to have a letdown. I said that of all the records he has, I think the semis of 23 Grand Slams in a row in the most difficult of all. I was told that Berdych played very well.
Perhaps not politically correct to say, but does not seem you that on the surface in which any player with a big serve, no matter how low in the ranking, can beat you, is not a deserving surface to host a grand Slam? encouragement
I do not understand the question but I do not think so. Wimbledon is Wimbledon.
Hello Rafael, congratulations on your successes. Can you tell me what exactly is your treatment and what is it? I have chronic tendinitis in both knees with chondromalacia patellar, and I'm looking for a solution. A hugs and good luck! (César V.)
Too long to explain here. This treatment helps the knees.
Hola. Thanks to you I've discovered a sport that has become a passion. I wish you all the best. Now that is about gay pride day, what do you think of secrecy and / or taboo in elite sport? (Emmanuel Gázquez)
I do not speak of such matters. I consider them personal l and each is with his own. I am clear in what I say and think.
Hello champion! I play tennis as a 'hobby', the other day I tried to imitate your 'banana shot' and I almost dislocated my shoulder!. And my teacher got angry with me, "but what are you doing woman? Only Nadal makes that shot!". Well, okay, how did get this 'shot'? Does it comes naturally or is it something you've practiced a lot? You can not imagine how much I enjoy watching you play, you're a great. Vamos! (Carmen A.)
It is something that is practiced, but not the 'banana shot' but the 'passing', either way .
Only two more matches to win Wimbledon again but with caution. Now that Federer has lost, you see possible to finish the year as number one? Moreover, from next week Djokovic is ahead of Federer ... to be number three What do you think? (Luis L.)
First things first and for me, all I see ahead is a Wimbledon semi-final and I have a lot of illusions against the local player (Andy Murray.) In the rest will be discussed when appropriate is ever. The number one is more accessible but still. Much remains to be played and many points to be played.
Rafa! I appreciate that you spend this time to interact with your followers. You are a beautiful person. I've noticed that sometimes after having lost a point with your serve, the next is an ace. Does the having failed the previous gives you strength to get better? (Malena Solórzano)
Thank you very much, a pleasure. I think at each point, point to point. Otherwise it would be a mistake.
Encouragements Rafa! Now the most difficult yet ... Andy Murray at home ... in a tournament that has engraved on fire. How do you see the match? Do you think that the public can change your chivalry to see a Brit win again? Good luck to have another Grand Slam so close! (José Manuel Muñoz)
I think not. Here the public has always been very respectful to me and to all players. It's something special. For sure it will not change.
I just saw second set against Robin Soderlin and the Swede goes and calls the trainer when you were winning 5-4 and it broke your rhythm. Here in London, comments on TV were clear. This should not be allowed (but noe is not in regulation). The question is: would support a change of rules in which no player can call the physio without good reason and only before his service game? Congratulations !! (Rosa, Jehoshua y Jesús desde Londres)
It's allowed by the rules so no problem. What I think is that the tournament should have the physios closer to courts because the problem is that they are far and took them over ten minutes to play again. I think that in these cases the rules should say that the player can have treatment in the following 'change over' from the request, not right away. This will avoid the big break. Another thing is if the physio is close and goes quickly on court.
