Uncle Toni has some things he needs to say..


Toni Nadal: "Rafa is a little anxious to play the final"

"In Melzer made the most of two weeks in Paris," said his uncle and coach

Toni Nadal, uncle and coach Rafa Nadal, said the final at Roland Garros is like "waiting for the Champions League after league play."
He is a bit anxious to play the final, because you know it could be a total sucess. It's like waiting for the Championship League after playing the whole season, in clay and here comes the most important match of the season.

I think the nerves are now less, he today has practiced very well, yesterday he did the best match of the 2 weeks. We are a little bit better but so is he, comparing last year's match. I can give my guess who is going to win, but I wont do it.


It influences a little in the game, but tomorrow we will know it and see ti (talking about the weather), we do better with the conditions like today, but it's tomorrow when the match is decided.

Rafa played very well the whole match and when it seemed controlled and about to be decided he returned bad, then the nerves came out and we had to go to the tie break. It is something that can happen, the mistake was not in 5-4, but in 5-3 (15-30) where he should have had more attention.
