Madrid has always been a great tournament, specially when it was played indoor. Last year it was a bit disorganized, but things have improved and the tournament is spectacular. The only "but" is that since it is a mixed tournament (men and women) the practice hours are complicated.

I am not well since Monte Carlo, but since Jan 1st 2010. All year I have played well enough in order to win in any tournament that I played in. Maybe Australia was the tournament where I played worse and I lost the match where I was playing better. Later, of course it makes me hapy to win 2 tournaments like Monte Carlo and Rome, two very important tournaments for me which have given me a lot of confidence.

The draws are better or worse depending how each one plays. With the altitude that Madrid has, all the matches are very competitive and complicated than in the rest of the tournament. The draw has been normal, with the difficulty of being a Masters 1.000 where the best players of the world play.

I dont know how the classification issue is right now, only that I have to defend 600 points (last years final). The absense of Djokovic I think is more negative than positive, specially for the tournament and the fans. We are at half the year and it's still a long time to know yet how we are going to be classified each player. I only am worried to keep my feet on the ground, to continue working as I have been doing and to continue to be situated as well as I am in the "Race" as I am doing now.
