The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal said that he felt confident to return to his best level and he put in the same level talent and passion as keys to beat his rivals, in an interview with magazine of sport and nutrition, SOBeFiT
Nadal, special issue cover of tennis to be published in March, said that the only way to overcome adversity in sports and in life is "being brave enough to fight until things start to go as you want."
The Mallorquin insisted on that importance of attitude at the moments you have to face challenges "You can be born with all the talent in the world, but if you lack passion you will not find victory" said Nadal, who was compared in the article with the character who plays Russell Crowe, Maximus in "Gladiator" (2000), one of the favorite movies of the tennis player.
Nadal said he did not think fame had changed his way of being, something that has to do with his relationship with his family and friends.
"If I started to get presumptuous they would would make sure I got my feet back on the ground quickly. What really matters is to show the education you received when you were a kid, to be honest with yourself and others. To me it is not the house you have or the car you drive, but the way you act once you get those things" he said.
Mentally prepared to regain his best sport level, he does not seem worried about his recent injury and recalled as his worst professional moment, the problems he suffered with his foot in 2005.
The tennis player who was going to be a footballer, is a self-confessed Real Madrid fan, and admirer of Raul, Zidane and Romario. Fisherman as a hobby, it is an activity that allows him to "spend four or five hours away from the stresses of everyday life." As a curiosity, Nadal said his favourite dishes are fresh fish and pasta, while he eats pizza without mozzarella because "it ruins the tomato"
